SNAP - Sweden North pennines And Ploërmel

Snap is an english expression for when two people gets the same idea at the same time. SNAP is also the name of the transnational cooperation between the Leader+ areas in Hälsingland, Sweden, North Pennines, England and Ploërmel, France. The cooperation is mainly about musical education exchange in traditional music. There is a big difference between the music styles, but our tutors manages to mix them in a great way. Young musicians between 15 and 22 can apply for to participate in SNAP, eight participants from each area is accepted to the education.
 

 

The SNAP year 2007 is divided into three workshop weeks. It begins in February in Sweden, the second week is in Allendale, England in May and it ends up in July, in Plöermel, Brittany, France, where we also record a CD.

 

The swedish part of the project is owned and financed by Leader+ Intryck Hälsingland. The project is runned by Bilda Hälsingland/Hälsinge Låtverkstad and part finaced by Arbetsförmedlingen in Ljusdal.
